You're with your friends late at night at the Boiling Spring. Wrought iron stands around a pool of standing water. Once something worth seeing, now its a wet pit full of fast food trash, leaves, and the occasional dead animal.
It would be sad if it wasn't the way its always been. The sign nearby says something about how it used to look. You would take a closer look, but your friends are drawing crude images on the sign.

The trouble started when you and your friends started daring each other to hang down over the murky water.
You fell in and must have hit your head on the bottom of the concrete pool. You don't remember much besides being hauled out and how the rotting plant material hung off your hoodie in thick strands like mucus.
Everyone was worried you might have a concussion, and you thought they might be right. As you climbed into someone elses car, you noticed an extra figure standing off in the distance among the trees. You try and point it out, but when you looked back, the figure was gone.
